JILL Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard, was quick to admit their first date was actually “unchaperoned” as they continue to defy her dad Jim Bob’s strict rules.
The couple have strayed from Jill’s family and have done various things that doesn’t exactly lineup with the patriarch’s views.
It all kicked off when Derick took to Instagram to share a few throwbacks featuring him and his wife, one being the pair on a motorcycle.
He wrote: “8 years ago today I started dating my best friend @jillmdillard while I was working on the other side of the world!
“I definitely enjoyed our unchaperoned motorcycle ride around the area. And I have fond memories of the extra week we had over Thanksgiving to enjoy more intimate time together and get to know each other even better.”
He added: “If I had a GED in knowing you then, I want a Ph.D. 50 years from now!”
The 32-year-old received plenty of praise for his post as even Jill commented: “Aww! You’re the best man in the whole world! Love you loads babe.”
Rebel cousin Amy also chimed in: “Love this and your love story!! Happy Anniversary!!”

Jim Bob, 56, and his wife, Michelle, have implemented strict rules within the family that reflect their Christian lifestyle.
Some of these rules include abstinence until marriage, no birth control use, and women cannot show their legs or dress in a revealing manner.
They also have to be accompanied by a chaperone while on a date with a significant other.
Like Amy, Jill and Derick have pushed back against Jim Bob’s rules, and the pair don’t seem to cross paths with the controversial star very often.
STAYING AWAY
Previously, Derick claimed Jill hadn’t been to her parents’ nearby home in two years.
Jill, 30, explained to fans in a YouTube video: “…We actually haven’t been over there in awhile, probably like a couple years, other than once to check the mail.
“But yeah there’s some restrictions, but also we just feel like in this season of life we have to prioritize our like mental and emotional health and all that.”
She added: “Our threshold, as I like to call it is just a little bit lower in this season of life for us with a lot going on in our own life.”
Derick also said: “There’s a lot of triggers there.”

Jill has since adopted a much more relaxed lifestyle, forsaking some modesty and her parent’s strict rulings.
She has also been extremely open about various subjects, touching on her “good sex life,” that she uses birth control, and even that she and Derick play “bedroom games.”
Jill, who recently rocked a fresh haircut, has also gone drinking with Derick– all things that go against their family’s strict rules.
The former Counting On star has two sons with Derick: Israel, six, and Samuel, four.
Last month Jill revealed she was pregnant with her third child but secretly suffered a miscarriage.
She wrote to fans: “… Our baby doesn’t get to live here with us on earth, but is forever with the source of the river of life, in the presence of the Lord!”
